The Best Gluten-Free Ramen Recipe: Like the Old Days, But Grown-Up(ish)
Ingredients You’ll Need:
Let’s keep this simple. You’re already sad you can’t use the $0.29 packet.
Instant Seasoning Packet – SAMABILA Chicken, Premium Instant Ramen Seasoning Soup Powder - 5 oz (Amazon has these delicious packets in other flavors as well, Korean Beef, Chicken Lite and Viet Beef Phở Broth and they last a long time depending on your ramen cravings that is!)
Gluten-Free Ramen Noodles – Real Naturals, Gluten free ramen noodles (10 packs).
That's it ! Honestly if you stop with just these two items and follow the cooking directions on the packets you will have fantastic ramen noodle in minutes anytime you want.
Optional Ingredients You’ll Need if you want to make a Grown-Up(ish) version:
Low-sodium Gluten-Free Soy Sauce or Tamari – Because regular soy sauce is a gluten landmine.
Sesame oil – A tiny bottle will last forever, and it makes everything taste 76% more authentic.
Garlic & Ginger – Fresh if you're feeling fancy. Powdered if you're realistic.
Chicken or Veggie Broth (Gluten-Free) – In combination with the seasoning packets this definitely adds extra taste-especially if the broth is spicy!
Green onions, soft-boiled egg, spinach, mushrooms, leftover chicken, etc. – Optional toppings that scream, “I’m a functioning adult now.”
The "I Can’t Believe This Is Gluten-Free" Method:
Boil your noodles according to the package. Don’t worry about overcooking these noodles — i know gluten-free noodles are drama queens and will fall apart if you look at them wrong, but not these noodles.
In a separate pot, bring your broth to a simmer. Add garlic, ginger, a splash of tamari, and a few drops of sesame oil and as much of the seasoning packet above to suit your tastes. (Start with the recommended amount on the instructions and add more as necessary to your taste but be carful it will become salty the more you add)
Toss in your veggies or proteins, if using. Feel free to toss in leftover rotisserie chicken or whatever you found at the bottom of your fridge.
Drain the noodles, toss them into the broth, top with a soft-boiled egg and some green onions, and boom.
Childhood nostalgia with none of the digestive trauma.

Of course.
